Sadly I have noticed this winter he has lost more feathers.
He will not allow me to put a jumper on him, so his heat source is the infra red light.
I don't think Cocoa is going to last like Peggy has, he is showing a different form of the disease yet again to her. He has become more trusting and friendly with me, allowing me to touch him and kiss him these past 2 months, maybe another sign of him knowing he is getting worse, they do get closer when they know they are close to death. I don't think Cocoa will see out many more months.

He has been a chirpy fella, much chatter and loving.
I have to take pics now of him, his chest almost bald, for the website. It's sad, maybe cruel to some... but for education purposes.

Pray for 'lil Cocoa.

I agree with AV , best to be cautious and have peace of mind and know your other birds are safe and healthy.

Charlie's vet visit went well.  Hopefully we won't be back there until his health check at the end of August.

Thank you all for your replies and support.  Thanks also for the link, Sue.  Charlie has a vet appointment tomorrow and I'll ask about it.  At the moment he is taking Goji berry juice and a probiotic.  He really loves the juice  Smiley.  I got to Brisbane Bird and Exotics.  Charlie sees Dr Deborah Monk tomorrow for the first time.  I have heard a lot about her and am worried she might pick up something that we missed.  Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
I will get Charlie retested.  It has almost been 3 months since his last test.  However, he did have one feather that the vet was certain was pbfd.  The vet also recommended that I wait 6 months.  She seems pretty certain that Charlie will be a carrier.  In the meantime I have my fingers crossed that he will be cured.
