Natural immunity is not common in any other species than Rainbow Lorikeets. I have heard of it but not often.

http://apps.facebook.com/causes/294975?as_id=560332&as_type=Sharing&I have 2 Sulpha Crested cockatoo's, both over 8 years of age, both PBFD positive, neither have built a natural immunity, although they are still very much alive and healthy within themselves. 1 has little to no feathers the other is quite fluffy with new feathers growing in daily.
I have done an extreme amount of research and do have contact with one of the leading PBFD research scientists in Australia. You can pretty much take my word that there is little or no hope for natural immunity in a bird with Chronic PBFD (check my link above for definition of Acute and Chronic PBFD)
